Vehicle hands-free kits
Universal cell phone cradles
peiker offers a “smart” cradle with a charging function compatible with many current mobile phone models as part of its vehicle hands-free kit. The hands-free electronics and controls for additional device functions are specially designed to go with specific phones.
Plus, it’s a snap to simply replace the cradle for a new phone. The peiker system connector (PSC), which is installed in the vehicle, serves as the basis for this convenient feature. The standardized connector also functions as the interface for other hands-free products from peiker.
Universal cell phone cradle: snap-in adapter
One variant of this universal cell phone cradle, which we offer as part of our car hands-free systems with phone cradles, is the snap-in adapter version. The adapters are built into the vehicle’s center armrest. The system has the same versatility as our cradle solutions, but instead of changing entire cradle the user only needs to select the appropriate snap-in adapter to go with their new mobile phone model.
Integration of smart phones
As smart phones become more popular, they are of course found more frequently in cars as well. peiker has taken on the task of integrating them into a car hands-free kit in a way that enables convenient use of features such as music file playback or displaying of navigation information via the vehicle’s own system.
